Robin Hood

  • Wagner Performing Arts Center 639 West Main Street Monroe, WA 98272 USA (map)

This new (and slightly silly!) adaptation of Robin Hood is a fun and fast-moving musical version of the famous legend. You’ll meet the familiar characters of Robin Hood, Maid Marian, Friar Tuck, as well as the treacherous duo of Prince John and the Sheriff of Nottingham. Adapted by Monroe’s own playwright P. Haines-Ainsworth, with music by Terence Alaric-Levitt.

All is not well in Nottingham.  Good King Richard leaves England in the hands of his greedy brother, Prince John.   Aided by the wicked Sheriff of Nottingham, Prince John taxes the citizens mercilessly!  Robin Hood escapes to Sherwood Forest, joining forces with the Merry Men and Maid Marian. Together they devise a plan to rescue King Richard from the King of France and bring him, and justice, back to the citizens of England.
